The bottom of the print proudly proclaims Pennsylvania, also in written font and tactile braille. 146 The Lucid Push to Talk Radio

Donated by Kim Charlson

The Simple PTT Lucid: A Push-to-Talk Radio Built with the Blindness Community in Mind, offers something remarkable: the reach of a nationwide radio network, without the limitations of traditional two-way radio. Whether you are coordinating a volunteer emergency response, connecting with fellow hobbyists across the country, or simply staying in touch with a group of friends spread across the world, push to talk radios deliver clear, reliable communication wherever a cellular signal exists. Simple PTT, a U.S.-based radio provider run by Scott Johnson known in the community as “The Magician” for his ability to make things happen. He was approached by a visually impaired user who saw an opportunity. Jed Barton, known online as JetN1JBC, raised the subject of accessibility directly with Johnson, explaining that the blind and low-vision community represented not just a market, but a group of people who genuinely stand to benefit from reliable push-to-talk communication. The 2026 Lucid is a nationwide PTT walkie-talkie from Simple PTT. It operates over cellular networks using a multi-carrier SIM that floats between AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, meaning coverage follows you across the country rather than being tied to any single carrier’s footprint. The hardware itself is compact, and it measures just 1.18 inches deep by 1.97 inches wide by 3.74 inches tall. There are seven buttons total: a push-to-talk button on the left side, volume up and down, and four buttons across the front face beneath the display. Under the hood, the Lucid carries a 4800mAh battery capable of all-day talk time and up to seven days on standby. It charges via USB-C, supports fast charging, and handles a wide range of LTE bands. For audio fidelity, it uses a high-sensitivity microphone combined with AI-driven noise cancellation that the manufacturer claims eliminates over 95 percent of background noise. The radios come with one year of cellular coverage included. After the auction, registration will be transferred to the winner for customer support and renewal next year.

151 Illinois Royal Blue Zip Tote

Donated by Blind Girl Designs Tricia Waechter

The state where I was born, Illinois, is a long and narrow state. The northern border is just a straight line as is the northeast border. The balance of the state waivers all around as it follows all the rivers in the circumference of the state. In the straight lines, we put white canes. In the northeast corner the straps of the white canes touch, with a bit of blue underneath them. This is a nod to Lake Michigan. The balance of the state lines are drawn by an aqua stream that runs around the entire state, indicating all the rivers that make up the borders. In the far northern part of the print bursts an energetic bustling city Chicago, of course! The city is so energetic that the Ferris wheel at Navy pier is almost bursting out of the state. The city landmarks are line drawn in black and light gray and beneath this bustling metropolis is a swath of green, like grass. Across the width of the state on the grass is the word Illinois in a slight arch and the letters are bold collegiate letters in white. The contrast with the grass is beautiful and beneath the letters are Illinois in tactile white grade one braille. That’s not even close to being all of Illinois. Beneath the word Illinois sprouts another city, and it is also line drawn in black and light gray. It’s Springfield, of course, with its distinctive classical capital building complete with columns and dome. We are not done yet, at the bottom of the print, on the right, is a beautiful little red barn next to a silver silo and to the left of the barn are undulating fields with rows and rows of beautiful crops. There is a nice blue sky with just a few clouds floating by with a beautiful setting. We used our white Plastisol ink on this tote bag to ensure the bag lasts for years. This tote is 15 inch by 20-inch full zip canvas bag with a folded bottom so it can sit upright and a zip pocket on the inside as well! It has generous straps, so you can swing it over your shoulder and do not wash the bag. Enjoy your Blind Girl Designs!

171 Blue Texas Tote Bag

Donated by Blind Girl Designs Tricia Waechter

This print features a bold, vintage-style Texas theme with a warm, western personality and at the top, the word “TEXAS” is displayed in a large, old-fashioned Western font with dramatic serifs and sweeping flourishes. The letters are filled with a rich red-to-gold gradient, outlined in navy and cream, giving them a dimensional, slightly embossed look. There are decorative scrollwork accents that frame the word, enhancing the classic Texas heritage vibe. Beneath the word, Texas in white grade one tactile braille, is the word, of course, TEXAS and centered beneath the text is a detailed illustration of a friendly armadillo. The armadillo is rendered in warm golden-brown tones with layered, textured armor plates that add depth and realism. Its expression is cheerful and welcoming, with bright eyes and a slight smile and the tail curves naturally behind it, balancing the composition. The armadillo wears a brown cowboy hat featuring: A Texas flag band around the crown and a bluebonnet flower tucked into the band for a subtle state-pride accent and below the armadillo, the phrase “SINCE 1845” appears in a classic serif font, referencing the year Texas joined the United States. There are small decorative star and dot elements which sit beneath the text, adding symmetry and polish and beneath the words in tactile grade one Braille, it repeats “SINCE 1845”. The overall design is colorful, nostalgic, and authentically Texan, blending Western typography, state symbolism, and a playful illustrated mascot into a balanced, eye-catching print. We used our white Plastisol ink on this tote bag to ensure the bag lasts for years. This tote is 15 inch by 20-inch full zip, canvas bag with a folder bottom so it can sit upright and a zip pocket on the inside as well! It has generous straps, so you can swing it over your shoulder. 191 Hawaii Beautiful Charcoal Gray Polo Shirt

Donated by Blind Girl Designs Tricia Waechter

The very first thing you will notice on this print is that there are four white tactile honu swimming across the print. The honu is a Hawaiian sea turtle, which is not only present today, but also very ancient and they are etched in petroglyphs in stones around the islands. The honu represent resilience, wisdom, and a connection to the natural world. In really big white letters all the way across the top is the word Hawaii and we purchased this font from a Hawaiian font designer and inside of each letter are beautiful Polynesian drawings and in fact the okina symbol came as part of the alphabet. You will find it between the two i’s in Hawaii, and you will also find it in braille between the two i’s in Hawaii. Beneath the big word Hawaii is Hawaii in tactile braille and to the left of Hawaii starting at the top of the print and going all the way down to the bottom of the print are beautiful, yellow hibiscus and behind the hibiscus, there are little green leaves. Next to the hibiscus on the far left is a white cane running from the top of the print to the bottom. My white cane runs from the top left all the way across the top of the word Hawaii and running across the bottom of the print in white tactile braille, it says “Hawaii Association of the Blind.” It does not say it in words, but it says it in braille! On the polo shirt on the left chest to the left of the buttons, it says Hawaii outlined in the same font as on the back of the shirt in white ink. In addition, it also says Hawaii in braille underneath. We are really excited about this beautiful print, and if you are not from Hawaii, likely you have been there, wish you’ve been there, or are planning to go someday! These polos come in unisex sizing, youth, small through large, adult small through five XL, tall large through three XL. The winner gets to pick their own size! These soft, three button polo shirts with a rib collar and cuff are made from cotton poly and will not shrink and you can wash this inside out to protect the ink and either hang to dry or briefly tumble dry but make sure it is inside out. Enjoy your Blind Girl Designs!

211 Wisconsin Navy Sweatshirt Fleece Fabric Blanket Donated by blind Girl Designs Tricia Waechter

You will love having this beautiful Wisconsin blanket. In the center of the print is a very clear rising sun. It is almost yellow white in the morning. Beneath the rising sun are the scrubby pines and oaks starting with a grey-green color, evolving to an olive color then deepening to a forest green. At the base of the trees on either side rise incredible towers of sandstone in red, oranges, and browns. What makes these monoliths so impressive is that not only are they created by nature, but they grow scrubby trees on top, and these Wisconsin Dell formations are awesome, inspiring, and amazing! At the bottom of the formations, of course, is water, glistening in shades of aqua and blue. Transposed over the water across the entire print is the word Wisconsin in a deep yellow clean font and beneath the word Wisconsin there is an arch in the art and in that arch is Wisconsin in Golden tactile braille. Framing the art on the left side is a white cane, and framing the art on the right side is also a white cane. Above the sun in the sky, there are yellow and golden rays emanating from the sun, all the way to the end of the art. At the very top of the print on either side where the handles of the white canes are framing the print, we added art deco arches in yellow to complement the beautiful sun and sky. It adds such a beautiful artistic element to the art and a nod to the historic nature of the Wisconsin Dell as a popular tourist attraction for several centuries. Enjoy wrapping yourself in the comfort of your favorite hoodie with the super soft fifty by 60 inches hemmed blanket. The blanket is crafted from plush, fleece-backed sweatshirt fabric and it offers the perfect balance of warmth and breathability. EWO is a life-sized black labrador, plush, and incredibly soft and cuddly. He is two foot two inches in height and 33 inches from tip of nose to tail. EWO stands for Eyes Wide Open, which was a golf tournament which our affiliate sponsored along with a local Lions Club. Unfortunately, it was an ageing Club, and they became unable to sponsor it with us anymore. During the tournament’s years, the Lions had a stuffed lion mascot, and EWO became our mascot for the tournament. After the end of the tournament, he has been a decoration in the Kansas affiliate office for the past several years. He was telling me today that he misses being out on the golf circuit, and he is bored just standing in our office. He wants a change of pace. He is in excellent condition, and comes with a KSDS Harness, a leash, a brush, and a bowl. We love EWO, but he is asking for a change of pace in his retirement, and he is excited to be offered as an auction item!
