The Day The World Went Blind

A Sunday Edition Audio Drama Reflection THE DAY THE WORLD WENT BLIND

By Anthony Corona

It was an ordinary March day.

Until it wasn’t.

Nothing warned us.

Nothing announced what was coming.

And it only took 7.5 seconds.

A solar flare changed the rules, and suddenly humanity had to learn something millions of people already knew.

How do you navigate a world when the way you have always navigated it changes in an instant?

And who becomes the expert when almost everyone else is asking the questions?

The Day the World Went Blind is a fictional reflection about blindness, disability, accessibility, adaptation, and the people who suddenly find themselves becoming the teachers.

But beneath the story is a question for all of us.

What happens when the world you understand becomes a world you no longer recognize?

And what might we learn from the people who already know how to adapt?

Come with me into this world for a little while.

Listen to The Day the World Went Blind.

And when those 7.5 seconds are over, you may find yourself thinking a little differently about the world we are living in right now.
