20260922 Remembering Terry Pacheco
Tuesday Topics focuses on remembering Theresa (Terry) Pacheco who has been active in ACB much longer than Paul Edwards, which is really saying something. Terry died in September, 2026 and in this episode of Tuesday Topics, people who knew and loved Terry share about her life! She was in at the beginning when the Bay State Council was started. Soon after Charlie Crawford was hired by ACB she and her husband Frank were persuaded to move from Boston to Maryland so she could become an employee of ACB. Once she left ACB Terry went to work for the Department of Education and, after retirement, she continued to remain active in ACB. She was an early adopter of ACB Media where she did a show every Friday. She became a member of the ACB Board in 2022 and served as well on the Board of what is now LVA (the Low Vision Alliance) and used to be called the Council of Citizen with Low Vision.
I, Paul Edwards had the honor to be good friends with Terry and Frank. When my wife Gayle died, Frank and Terry came to Miami to help. We cruised together and both Frank and I got ill so Terry got to stay a few extra days at my house before heading home. Those who knew Terry share their stories. Terry knew what she liked and let you know how she felt. She also knew what she didn’t like!
